This zoo had also received calves of elephant, tiger and leopard cubs, etc. that were successfully raised here. Many exotic animals are displayed in natural environment so as to create awareness about their protection and to offer an educative experience about them. This zoo is also known for its tigers. For instance, it is the only Indian zoo that has all three species of Rhino i.e. white, black and Indian rhino. The area of the zoo was again extended to over 80 acres over a period of few years.
